So what happens when you can’t play a Femtaur?
Every hybrid class, every healing class, and every tanking class are an option for Tauren. But what if you want to play a Lock, Mage, or Rogue? Tauren isn’t an option. What then?
This weekend I longed to play my fireball-throwing Mage. She was Alliance so I needed to switch her back to Horde so that her Femtaur family could take care of her (glyphs, enchants, gems, herbs, etc). I ran into the same dilemma that I had trouble with when originally making her.
If I can’t be a Femtaur, what race should I play?
Blood Elf was my choice for my Warlock. She’s been a Blood Elf since I first created her. She was my very first Horde character back in Wrath of the Lich King. They have excellent animations and I really like their small models. The lore is excellent too.
However, I don’t feel as much of a connection to the race as I do to my one Blood Elf character. I’ll just stick with the one for now.
My Priest used to be Femsaken before Cataclysm gave me the opportunity to be a Femtaur Priest. Their animations are decent, I really like their emotes, and I have a real soft spot for their lore.
However, the way their armor gets tattered has been difficult for me to get past.
My Mage started off as Femgob. Their animations are great and I really liked the Rocket Jump. Also, being newer models, they have incredible details and excellent hair choices.
However, I get caught up on the way that armor looks on Femgobs. Their mid-sections are “squished” and it deforms most decent belt models.
When I first brought Annabee over to Horde, I made her a Femtroll. I’ve always found them pretty and interesting. The new storyline coming in Patch 5.3 also brings me closer to the Troll lore.
However, it’s actually not the “cute face” that bothers me with Femtrolls. They have a very stiff walk and sit back on their mounts entirely too far. One of my favorite mounts is my Tan War Talbuk and I could never bring myself to ride it when I was a Femtroll. Sorry Zul’jin, I’ve got to look good on my Talbuks.
My Rogue is a Fempanda. Being the new race, she has excellent details, animations, and emotes. They are extremely expressive and, in general, fun to play. My Mage was a Pandaren on Alliance side.
However, like my Blood Elf, I am content with having just the one.
The Femorc is what I decided on. Female Orcs aren’t played very much so I like to add to the population of underpopulated Femraces ^.^ Her animations are great and I am in love with her Purple Mohawk.
I love Femtaur. They are, by far, my favorite race. But, I enjoy the fact that Blizzard makes me step out of my safe Femtaur hut to enjoy what other races have to offer.
